Live Scan fingerprinting services are “Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers” in COVID-19, per the Text of the Governor’s Order N-52-20.

Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm (Closed for lunch 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm)
Saturday: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm (we do not close for lunch on Saturday)

Pursuant to the Order of the Alameda County Health Officer, a face covering is mandatory. Do not enter our facility if you have any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, trouble breathing, etc.), are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, or have been advised to self-quarantine. To protect our customers and employees, we reserve the right to screen everyone entering for a temperature using a non-contact digital infrared forehead thermometer. Anyone with a temperature will be asked to leave and reschedule.

In Office Services

Live Scan and Ink Fingerprinting

Address: 524 7th Street, Oakland, CA 94607 (between Washington & Clay Streets, near the Oakland Police Department and across the street from the Wiley W. Manuel County of Alameda Courthouse). Just a few blocks away from the 12th Street Downtown Oakland BART Station. There is metered street parking in front of the building, and a parking lot on the corner of 7th and Clay Streets.

Fee: $25.00 rolling fee per live scan or ink-rolled card. There may be an additional cost for the Government (DOJ/FBI) background processing fees. 

LPG Live Scan accepts cash, credit/debit cards, money orders, business checks, prepaid fingerprinting vouchers, and billing accounts. Personal checks are not accepted.

Business Hours:

Tuesday – Friday, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm. Walk-In, typically there is no wait or very little wait, or schedule an Appointment. LPG Live Scan is closed for lunch, 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm, Tuesday – Friday.

Saturday, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm, Walk-In, typically there is no wait or very little wait, or schedule an Appointment. LPG Live Scan does not close for lunch on Saturday’s.

Bring a valid Government/State issued photo ID (see FAQ page for more information). For Live Scan fingerprinting, also bring the Request for Live Scan Service form issued by the organization requesting the background check. For ink fingerprinting, LPG Live Scan provides the standard FBI Applicant FD-258 card.

Mobile Services

LPG Live Scan offers mobile fingerprinting services for large groups throughout the greater Bay Area, 24 hours per day seven days per week. Mobile services are typically reserved for groups of 20 or more applicants. However, for a job minimum fee, LPG Live Scan may be able to conduct a mobile session for smaller groups. Fees: The rolling fee starts at $25.00 per live scan or ink-rolled/printed card, plus a travel/set-up fee. There may be an additional cost for the Government (DOJ/FBI) background processing fees.
